Chord Piano |
You can really spice up & beautify your hymns by application of chords.
I remember back then when I wanted to learn how to play the piano & I didn't have a piano, neither did I have the money to hire a private teacher. Most of the piano books available then were on classical music & were designed to be used by students who were rich enough to afford a piano teacher. The few schools of music were very expensive.
I joined the church choir where I was taught some elementary rudiments of music after which I read & digested lots of theory of music books all in bid just to play the piano. I bought a book called Smallwood Piano tutor & just by sheer determination I played some of the exercises by memorizing the keys. Playing some basic exercises would often times take me up to a month and I couldn't play any song apart from the ones for which the music was available. But I discovered that there were people out there who could play just any song without knowing a thing about music theory by making use of chords & that there playing styles were much more exciting, & .melodious compare to pianist who were only playing the written music for such songs.
I immediately fell in love with chord piano and began gathering as much information as possible about chord piano & entered the world of chord piano. And since then I have found the piano much more easier & enjoyable.
Knowing that there are people out there who want to learn the piano but might be limited financially, or in some of the ways I have just mentioned this blog was set up .On this blog you can actually learn how to play the piano without actually having any previous knowledge of music.
